3.39. Restore a corrupt Volocity library

Restore corrupt Volocity Library

We would recommend having a backup for your critical data since it may be impossible to restore anything if the library gets corrupted. The files found in the "Data" folder don’t just reference the image data, therefore you can’t really extract them to import into another library. It’s a bit more cryptic than that. We need both the mvd2 file and the corresponding data folder to be complete for the library to function and as such it acts as a database.

One thing you could try:

- Open the library in Volocity.

- Go to the "File" menu > "Compact Library", check the box "Also remove cached data and preferences".

- Click "Compact".

- Wait for the process to complete, and then assess the data
